At the Birmingham Gay Pride parade, the BNP had threatened to riot if a Christian Priest and pagan blessed the parade. The organisers caved in to the threats, but the BNP didn't show. I'm a little narked about that!

That is fucking outrageous! Violence and intimidation is once again becoming a political commodity. The organisers were very wrong to to give so much as an inch to those dickless nazi trolls. Every concession they gain as a result of their stone-age tactics will only serve to reinforce the effectiveness of the bulling ideology. I fear the shadow of the jackboot once again darkens Europe's horizon.

I don't know if you caught the Times today but there was an excellent letter from a young gay russian man living in London. The general feel of the article was anger and disgust. However it was directed at Peter Tatchell. He spoke about his anger at Mr Tatchell and his lobby of bullies (my words not his) attempting to impose their will on another culture which he is unfamiliar with. what has happenned here has in fact been counter productive to the Russian gay rights movement which this gentleman said must work independently and bring about acceptance through their own efforts. It must be done the "Russian way".

Persoanlly although i'm surrounded by homophobia each day and findmyself getting bogged down in arguments with my African co-workers i loathe and abhor Peter Tatchell with almost every fibre of my being.

But it has been a long day at work so i shall have to rant another time
