My Prince

So, uh, this is (very belatedly) nikerymis's birthday thing. She wanted something ocean themed, and I, uh... >.>

Well, let's just list the warnings, shall we? ^^;;;
Very, very Not Work Safe
Anthro
Tentacles
Fishy bits
Cross-species
Smut.

Yeah. That about sums it up. >.>;

Long, webbed fingers trailed up sleek skin, leaving a pattern of wetness behind. Soft lips moved, the words inconsequential, the voice filled with sultry promise. The body beneath his shuddered, helpless to his touch, and he allowed his touch to move lower, caressing, enticing, drawing the hot, hard length he found close enough to brush against his scales and-

The human jerked and pulled away, his face alternately flushed and pale, hard length quivering between his thighs.

"I, uh... I..."

Delphis sighed and crossed his arms over his chest, mindful of his arm fins. "Now what?"

The man flushed and looked down. "I... I don't think this is going to work."

"Whyever not?" Delphis asked, trying not to pout.

If anything, the human flushed deeper. "Well you, you're..." He trailed off. Delphis waited patiently. "You're a fish!"

Not again.

"I'm a merman, not a fish. There's a difference."

The human looked guilty. "Yeah, but... you have scales. And a tail."

"Which you liked well enough this morning," Delphis pointed out.

The human hung his head. "I thought it was cool, but I didn't... I wasn't... it feels weird."

Stupid human. Stupid humans in general. Show them a bit of scale and they all freaked out. This was really getting frustrating.

"You humans have no sense of adventure." Delphis flicked sand at the irritating man and twisted, launching himself down the beach and into the shallows. He flicked his tail as soon as he was in deeper water, swimming hard for home.

Another embarrassing failure because humans were just far too squeamish about some things. It wasn't like Delphis freaked out because they had legs or something, so why should they freak out over his tail? Stupid humans. He should just swear them off entirely.

Except that they tended to be nice and thick, which he liked, and weren't nearly as flighty and irritating as other merfolk, aside from the squeamishness issue.

He sighed. It was really, really hard to get in a good fucking these days.

Delphis slowed as the phosphorescence of the palace came into view. He didn't really want to go home. Home was boring and stuffy and there were entirely too many coral-headed merfolk who would inevitably flirt (badly), chatter (gratingly), and try to curry favor (in the most boring ways possible) with the Prince of the Sea.

Namely Delphis.

"Ugh." No, he wasn't going home. But if he wasn't going home and he wasn't going back to the surface, and he wanted to avoid all possible contact with irritating persons... well, that left just one place.

Decided, Delphis changed his course and swam for the reef and the trench just beyond it. Getting past the reef was always the tricky part, as many merfolk liked to use it as a hangout or makeout spot, but he'd gotten fairly good at avoiding those places by now. It took a bit longer, going around, but soon enough he found the little hole he could wriggle through and wind up on the other side.

There was no chance of running into any other merfolk on the far side of the reef, because the far side of the reef was also the start of the Dark Abyss and no proper mer would ever go near it.

Of course, Delphis had never been a proper mer.

He swam straight down, bypassing the colorful reef for the shadowy waters below. He didn't have far to go, really, and there was still light filtering through the water when he stopped at a little ledge outside of a cave opening partway down the trench. It didn't seem particularly notable, unless of course one knew what he was looking for.

"Endolei!" Delphis called, swimming into the gloom of the cave. "Endolei, are you here?"

He made it all the way back to the part where the light couldn't penetrate and was starting to have to feel his way by touch when the lights appeared. Soft red and purple ones, set into the walls at regular intervals, and pulsing slowly as they dimmed and brightened.

Good. That meant Endolei was home.

Picking up his pace now that he could actually see, Delphis swam the rest of the way through the tunnel until it emerged in a large cavern lit with the same strange lighting as the part he'd just left. No mer knew the secret of the light in the darkness; only Endolei.

"I hate humans," Delphis grumped, swimming in and peeking in the pot to see if Endolei had anything in it that was edible today.

"Again?" came an amused voice from somewhere overhead, and Delphis looked up in time to see Endolei emerge from a hole high up in the cavern and drift downward.

Endolei was a fascinating and somewhat intimidating sight. He always was, even now when Delphis had known him for years. Unlike a mer, with their fins and scales, Endolei's entire lower half was sleek and smooth like that of a human, only softer, and if the human had eight legs. And was brightly colored in red and purple, like an octopus, rather than the same boring color all over.

All right, Endolei wasn't at all like a human. But he wasn't much like a mer either. He was the last descendant of the Sea Witch clan, and as far as Delphis knew there wasn't anything like him in the whole seas.

"I don't know what their problem is," Delphis complained. "I'm not a bad catch."

"No," Endolei agreed, amused.

"So I have scales and a tail rather than legs. Is that so horrible?"

"Mmm." Endolei looked at him funny.

"What?" Delphis scowled. "Don't tell me you agree with that stupid human."

Endolei gave a slight shrug. "I suppose I'm just used to that way of thinking by now."

Delphis frowned. "What are you talking about?"

One of Endolei's tentacles drifted out and prodded Delphis's left arm fin. Delphis stared at it blankly for a moment, then looked up at Endolei and blinked. "Huh?"

There was a very strange expression on Endolei's face, one that Delphis couldn't quite decipher. The tentacle near his arm drifted lower, circling Delphis's waist and tugging until Delphis was barely a fin's width from Endolei.

"Humans find your scales unnerving," Endolei said quietly, "but at least to other merfolk you are normal." His smile seemed strangely sad. "I am normal to no one."

Delphis blinked, blinked again, then looked down at the tentacle around his waist. "Oh."

He hadn't ever thought about it like that before. Endolei was different, certainly, but it had never occurred to Delphis that others might react to Endolei the way humans reacted to him. Of course, that required thinking about Endolei in a sexual manner, which was just strange to begin with. He'd known Endolei since before he'd known about sex; he'd been just a young, rebellious spawn, sneaking out of the palace to explore where he'd been forbidden to go. Nowhere in his young thoughts had he any idea that the story about sea witches might actually have some basis in reality.

Then he'd met Endolei, who was proof enough that his father wasn't completely lying through his teeth, even if Endolei wasn't at all like the evil, conniving sea witch that had tried to enslave his great-great-many-times-great-grandmother and take over the kingdom. Endolei liked his space and wasn't much fond of having people around, even if he did sometimes seem a bit lonely. The one time Delphis had asked him what he'd do if his great-ancestor had succeeded in taking over the kingdom, Endolei had blanched and turned rather green around the gills. That had answered that.

Endolei's voice broke through his thoughts, sounding quite puzzled and a little disbelieving. "You're not trying to get away from me..."

"I'm thinking," Delphis replied absently. "It's kind of weird, thinking about you having sex. I was just a spawn when I met you. Spawns don't think about sex."

One of Endolei's brows rose. "You're not a spawn now."

"Yeah, but first impressions and all..." Delphis shrugged, which made the tentacle around his waist rub against his skin in a manner that was not particularly unpleasant. More the opposite, actually. Just to make sure, he wiggled a bit, and the sensation repeated itself.

"What..." Endolei's voice sounded a little strange. "What are you doing?"

"Experimenting," Delphis replied, contemplating the nearest tentacle. "Humans think my scales are weird, and you said merfolk think you're weird, so I'm trying to figure out what that feels like. Maybe I can make myself less weird..."

There was silence. When it did not seem as if Endolei would ever respond, Delphis looked up, just in time to find himself almost completely engulfed in a tangle of soft, slippery tentacles.

"You want to know what it's like?" Endolei asked softly, suddenly very, very close. Close enough for his arms to slide around Delphis's waist and the water from his words to tickle Delphis's ear fins.

There was no way to move, with those tentacles coiled around every bit of him. Delphis was trapped, and helpless, and a spark of fear rippled through him. "E-Endolei...?"

"This is what it's like," Endolei murmured, tentacles sliding and squeezing and moving, never still. It was like they were caressing every spare stretch of Delphis, from skin to scales, and despite the fear at his helplessness he could not help the little moan that escaped him.

Just for a moment, those writhing appendages stilled, then once more they were all over him, stroking and caressing, with a firmer touch than before. Delphis shivered in Endolei's arms, uncertain whether he wanted to escape from or press closer to the maddening touches. He could see why other mers might find this unnerving, for it certainly was that, but it was also the hottest foreplay he'd had in a very long time.

And they hadn't even gotten to the actual sex yet.

And didn't that notion bring his stiffening cock up out of its sheath? He might not have ever thought of Endolei and sex in the same thought before this afternoon, or even had any idea of how one would go about it, but at the moment he very much wanted to find out.

"Endolei..." Delphis arched as one tentacle wrapped around his emerging cock, squeezing and stroking like nothing he'd ever felt before. The ones holding him trapped became a blessing, for he had no control over his own body any longer. He was a slave to sensation, and he reveled in it.

"Would you like to know, my prince?" Endolei murmured, a sharp squeeze from his smallest tentacle making Delphis gasp. "What it is like to be touched by a sea witch?"

Why was Endolei asking him questions? Why was Endolei talking at all, and how could he even manage it while all those tentacles moved and writhed and drove him absolutely crazy?

But that was all they did, as Endolei waited, just waited, until Delphis finally managed to pull together enough willpower to gasp out "Yes!"

And that was all it took. Endolei's arms tightened around him and the tentacles that had before been merely caressing took on a whole new purpose, seeking out and finding every tiny spot that made him writhe, made him scream, and his entire body consisted of nothing but overwhelming pleasure.

Then one of the tentacles slid down, seeking out the slight imperfection of scales around his excretory slit, and Delphis felt a slight tremor run through him. Was Endolei going to...? How would that...? Did Endolei even have a...

The thoughts cut off as one when that probing tentacle pressed down, his body parting enough to allow shallow entrance. It felt nothing like what he was used to, the thick, hard rods of humans or the long, slender shapes of merfolk. Those didn't move. But Endolei's tentacle moved, twisting and writhing within him, working its way deeper and deeper into his body and making Delphis cry out as he instinctively arched toward it.

Endolei's hands smoothed along his face, sleek skin caressing him, not quite distracting from the thick tentacle that split him wide, its movements slowing for a moment before somehow it widened and Delphis cried out, only to find his voice muffled by Endolei's mouth descending over his.

Like that slippery tentacle invading his body, Endolei's tongue delved into his mouth, writhing and caressing and never quite still. Always moving. Like the rest of his tentacles that held Delphis trapped, squirming this way and that and rubbing all over his body while that thick tentacle plunged in and out of him, another twining twice around his hard cock as it tightened and loosened in steady pulses.

It was the most exquisite torture Delphis had ever known. Trapped and helpless, his body a mass of tingling sensation from every direction. Consumed by Endolei's embrace.

The tentacles around his arms were loose enough that Delphis could slide them loose, wind them up around Endolei's neck and cling to the sea witch with the slight, tremoring strength he had remaining in him as all of his attention, his passion, his self was overwhelmed by that which invaded and claimed him so completely.

Then the one inside of him twisted, sending sparks shooting through him. His vision whitened, then blacked, and when he came to he was being cradled gently in Endolei's arms.

And those devious tentacles.

Endolei's crimson eyes looked uncertain. "My prince...?"

Delphis blinked up at him slowly, then looked down at the slippery mass of tentacles that supported him. They'd looked so innocent before. He knew better now.

"Huh." Delphis managed to drag his gaze back up to Endolei, the fog in his brain slowly dissipating as the bliss of just-been-fucked wore off.

"... Delphis?" Endolei tried warily, one hand brushing back Delphis's hair.

Delphis caught the hand. "You called me by name."

Endolei winced. "My apologies, my prince."

Delphis pressed a soft kiss to the captured hand. "I didn't say I objected."

There was silence, and Endolei was looking at him rather strangely, but Delphis didn't particularly care. He was still basking in the glow of the best fucking he'd had in a very long time, and contemplating what it was going to take to get a repeat performance.

"I'm going to have to have a word with my father," he said aloud, and Endolei winced.

"Ah. I see." Endolei's tentacles loosened. "My apologies, my prince. I will not-"

He was cut off as Delphis yanked him down and kissed him, pleased when Endolei only hesitated a moment before kissing him back. And the kissing was even better when his attention wasn't being split in so many directions; for someone who avoided people as much as Endolei did, his friend certainly could kiss.

"Mmmm." Delphis licked his lips. "Father is just going to have to get over his sea witch issues, because I am so not swimming all the way out here every time I want to get laid."

Endolei blinked. "Wait, what? Why would you-"

"You," Delphis stated imperiously, poking him in the chest, "are coming back to the palace with me. I'm keeping you. And it's past time for the royal family to quit punishing your family for something your great great however-many-times great-grandmother did anyway."

Endolei continued to stare at him, and while part of Delphis was rather smug that he'd managed to baffle the wily sea witch, the bigger part of him quite thought that Endolei needed to get over his whatever-it-was soon so that he could fuck Delphis again. Maybe with two tentacles this time. And didn't that thought just make him even hornier.

"We don't have to go right away, though," Delphis assured Endolei. "In fact, I'd prefer if we didn't."

For a moment there was no change, then Endolei's mouth slowly twisted into a faint smile. "I see. Am I to be your newest conquest then?"

Delphis scowled. "It's not my fault they all ditch me, or only want me for my crown."

Endolei's smile widened. "Of course, my prince."

Delphis snorted. "Your prince, my sea witch. And this prince is ordering you to kiss him again."

Endolei laughed, but obediently bent to obey. "Yes, my prince."
