That sucks!
Have you ever tried GOOG-411? It's pretty good, and free.

Let me know if I can help with rides, though I think we live pretty far apart.

can you get the car back?

i'd be willing to bet i could repair it for less than $3k. it may not run "dealer perfect" but it would run

we do have (2) automatics: el'mino and the van. will loan either to you if you want...

otherwise, yeah, always, tell me your budget, and let's go car shopping. it's something i'm demonstrably good at.

If you need rides this weekend let me know. I have some errands I need to run out by your neck of the woods anyways.

Ditto, I'll be around from time to time. You should have my number. And really, it was only 9:30 at night, friends can hook a brotha up with a ride or at the very least a Google search for you from the comfort of home.

Seriously, that's what I was thinking!

I bought my car partially for irony value, so you probably don't want me anywhere near car-buying thoughts :) But throw me on the list of people who would be entirely content to cart you around.

trying to recall, but i may have never had the info: what is this supposed ironic vehicle?

i justified one vehicle on its aluminum value, but never considered iron(y).

Hmmm... Perhaps I shouldn't have said "irony." Besides the elemental confusion, such usage may make me sound smarter or of higher brow than I am. I should say; my car made me giggle when I first saw it (and still does... Awwww..) and so I acquired it and loved it and love it. There's just something about making a corolla into a sport coupe and then giving it absurd pop-up headlights...
