My mom saw the bandage on my ankle from last night, and she freaked. She told me to stop on my own, or she would find a way to make me stop.

How am I supposed to just stop?

Did she know about your cutting already, or did she just find out for the first time now?

She knew I was doing something, but I don't think she knew how often I do it.

No. I don't. And that scares me more than anything. My mom can be vicious. She's one of those 'the ends justify the means' people.

Any chance of an open dialog with her? To see if maybe the two of you could come up with a solution that you both can live with? Or am I being hopelessly optimistic?

Once she gets an idea in her head there's no reasoning with her. If she thinks there's something she can do to 'fix' me, then she won't accept any other options. She might agree to talk, but she won't listen.

I stopped seeing my therapist a few months ago. I wouldn't talk to her so my mom stopped takingme to see her.
