We did a Movies theme for my uncle. It started as Hollywood, but then changed to movies. we got different kinds of popcorn, candy, and fountain drinks. it was lots of fun. :) movie posters on the wall and such too.

Oh no, there's nothing worse than other people trying to plan an event "for you" when it's actually for them. Parties are only fun if you actually want to be at them. Here's hoping they find some sort of compromise and you manage to have a good time anyway!
