Looking among many posts that I've written in the past 9 years, I look through the comments and reminisce.

A BUNCH of people have deleted their LiveJournals.

Maybe the past doesn't mean anything to them. Maybe they can do without. But why would you just completely throw away years of memories that you've documented?

I absolutely hate reading back on past entries. I was (and probably still am in the eyes of my future self) such a child. I could never delete my journals though. I feel like I could put it to use one day, too. I mean, I did write those entries to document my current thoughts and feelings as intense as they were right then and there. It's neat.

I have about a thousand if not ten thousand ideas in my head, maybe I'll get a few of them down on LJ eventually.

Yeah, I'd never delete it. You can always get it printed into a real book too! I think that's pretty awesome. If LJ ever leaves us I may have to do that.
