Oldman is one of my favorite actors.. he's never disappointed. He's usually played the villain, but in later years gone the opposite direction. And he may be virtuous in this movie, but he's still a badass.. you'll see what I mean. ;)
Agreed! Although the fact that his face (when younger) resembles a bit to me to my dad (also when younger), it almost feels wrong to think that! lol ;)
I loved him as Beethoven in 'Immortal Beloved'.. he's just the best. So he's an Aries huh? I can see that... *fiery* :>
It was awesome, wasn't it? Everyone was so good in their roles, and yeah, like you said, Heath Ledger was the Joker. He was amazing. I agree that it should have been R just because of some of the psychological issues, and violence, but still...just breathtaking.
I had no idea it would be *that* dark.. the previews don't even touch what this movie was really like. So complex and thought-provoking.. kudos to Nolan. Heath at least showed the world what he was capable of.
Agree with every word you said. I thought of you when they were talking about modifications to the bat suit and Fox said "should work against cats" or something... I forgot the exact line!
Everyone was at the top of their game in this film. Not a wrong note, not a single missed moment. Val Kilmer and George Clooney should be sending Bale thank you notes: after this performance, no one is going to remember their lame attempts!
Ledger should be nominated at the very least and I'm certain he would stand an excellent chance of winning.
Hee! I loved the cat reference! And yep that's what he said. Whether that's just a nod to her character or a hint of things to come.. will have to see. I don't know who though.. I can't think of anyone worthy right now, unless they go with an unknown. Would be interesting to see what they do with her considering Nolan's more 'realistic' view. Makes me wonder about other potential villians.. Philip Seymour-Hoffman as Penguin would be brilliant I think.
And yea Bale is the *man*.. I so look forward to what comes next. Although I don't know how they can possibly top this one.
If Heath doesn't get a nom then the Academy truly are narrow-minded snobs. I know they already are, but still.. ;)

I thought the cast was top notch in the previous one as well, so didn't expect anything less in this one.
