[RL with Allen]

Apr 08, 2009 15:37

Tyki parked his car about a block from the meeting place, mostly because if Allen was going to try to attack him, he didn't want it to be scratched. He walked the rest of the way, seemingly casual, but actually rather nervous and watching the shadows as best he could without seeming tense ( Read more... )

Allen stood in front of the building he had indicated to Tyki, hands in the pockets of his Exorcists uniform and the hood pulled up to conceal his white-washed hair. It hadn't been easy to lose his bodyguard, and he sincerely hoped the Order wouldn't become suspicious at his absence (although it was likely they would).

HE was also briefly wonder why he had agreed to this in the first place. He didn't necessarily trust Tyki, not after what had happened in the forest and the Ark, but Cross seemed to. And that must mean that Cross knew something Allen didn't (wasn't that always the case?) And if there was anyone Allen still trusted, even after everything that had happened, it was his master.

Besides, he wanted those answers.

He just hoped this wasn't a trap for him. Tyki still worked for the Earl, after all (as far as Allen was concerned). It was best he remained on his guard, just in case the Noah decided to attack him.

Tyki walked up the street brazenly, turning towards Allen as soon as he caught sight of him - that Exorcist's uniform was unmistakable. He didn't quicken his steps, but his stride might have lengthened a little.

His lips spread in a malevolent smirk when he saw him.

A couple of teases fluttered around his shoulders as he approached, but there was no sign of his powers other than that. He had no Crown of Thorns marring his forehead, though his eyes were that unnatural shade of gold and his skin was dark, not pale.

"So you did come," he purred. "And alone. Remarkable."

At the sound of Tyki's voice, Allen spun around to face him, taking note of the Noah's dark skin and gold eyes. He watched the teases float around Tyki's shoulders apprehensively, trying his best not to recall what had happened the last time he had gotten to close to one, and took a deep breath.

Didn't he exorcise Tyki's Noah? Didn't that mean he shouldn't have his powers? There were no cross marks on his forehead, but other than that...

The Exorcist removes his left hand from the pocket of his uniform and flexed it, just in case. He had come alone-- he had even left Timpampy back at headquarters-- and now that he thought about it, it was probably a bad idea. If Tyki decided to attack, he had no way of calling for backup.

But Allen had beaten him once. He could do it again.

"The Order is on a manhunt for Cross," he said evenly, "I can't have any of them knowing where he is."

"Yes," Tyki said, his eyes alight with pleasure at the thought. "I do know something about that. When I heard, I rushed to your master's side to see if there was anything I could do to help."

That was true, though he made it sound like a lie. Cross had rejected the kind of help he could give him, anyway.

Though he was maintaining this facade as a kind of bravado, to seem unconcerned as if he had the upper hand, he couldn't help his eyes from straying to that flexing left hand.
