Alec didn't have to knock, but he greeted Tyler with a cheerful, "Hey roomie!" before tossing his book on the bedside table. He sat down on his bed, toeing off his sneakers as he glanced at Tyler. "Up to anything?"
Tyler waved, staring at his computer screen. "Hey, Alec. I'm trying to find something to do," he said. "Have you noticed it's been way too quiet here lately?"
"Quiet how?" Alec craned his neck, trying to catch a glimpse of what Tyler was looking at so intently. "I mean, it's been Fandom, but nothing really big if that's what you mean, yeah."
Tyler swiveled the screen so Alec could see the Web site; it was open to a page about phone pranks. "Nothing big," Tyler agreed. "No explosions, no invasions, no fights ... the ethics teacher's kind of scary but not in a way I want to goof around with. I think I need a project."
