He couldn't tie his own shoes today, so I had to do it for him. Jesus. Is this what I'm heading towards? What all of us are heading towards? Bad knees and worse smells? Deaf ears and numbing rambling? And best of all, smart-ass relatives around to mock us behind our backs? Really seems to make it all worth it, it does.

my optimistic mind keeps telling me that by the time we reach that age, there'll be proper medical advances so that we're healthy and fit.

do what my dad does. he's nearing 60 and he still goes out 3 times a week to play basketball. pick a sport, and stick with it.
