i can't sleep. in fact, i haven't been sleeping well for a while already.

i've been feeling unsettled lately. i'm dragging myself to work, anticipating the end of the work day.

-begin rant-it's one thing to be providing, not of my volition, full support for system uat's, to the detriment of my marketing work. and another to be told our marketing

Flip the papers. Maybe that will help.
And I would suggest you just do more marketing than systems at the current one.
Perhaps do a quick UAT. Then request for someone more "senior" to review and dive into marketing.
It's what I think you have more interest in anyway.

Maybe practise more Tai Chi and level up? Hang in there. =)

can't do a quick uat cos they provide detailed test scripts, and we have to take screen captures of every pop-up, message, result, etc and submit for review. and because it's a trading system, we have to calculate every order we place, so 4 or 5 hours everyday are spent on these stupid tests. argh. enough whining.

yeah, flipping the papers. and trying to tai chi as much as i can. sigh.

You sound like you work in a highly competitive industry. I hope its not compounded by the fact that true mobile number portability has just started. :)

haha! that hasn't had much of an impact on my system or clients, or maybe it's because we enable mobile alerts for a select few only. can you guess which industry? i wouldn't say it's as competitive as red amber green, but clients like to think we are.

things have gotten better in the past few weeks, with a possible upward move. we'll see.
