Why don't you try being yourself in the business side? You're burning a candle from both ends trying to be two different people; you might find yourself burned out in the end. I think you'll find that being yourself, being authentic, is the best ticket where ever you go. Honesty is the best policy, and that especially in business situations. Besides that, no one wants work to be entirely boring, sometimes a right-timed joke is just what the doctor ordered for certain situations. The key to all of this, of introducing your true self into the business world, is just to remember these few things: timing, respect, and awareness. Timing - Like I said, a well timed joke can be good, but you must see what's going on and decide if it's apropriate. Remember that people are on time schedules and that there generally is an agenda to accomplish. Respect - Remember that everyone is due a certain amount of respect (even yourself), and this includes being aware of "the main thing", what everyone is trying to accomplish.
