Eep! I even saw her this morning and still forgot to say "Happy birthday!"
In my defense, it was way too early in the morning and I was extremely groggy and she was even more groggy, which means there's a very good chance that if I claim I did say "Happy birthday!" she'd believe me. :-)
The only reason I even knew it was her birthday at all (because I have no memory for such things) was that yesterday, sore from hiking, she grumbled, "I feel like I'm 87 years old," to which Elf cheerfully added "And tomorrow you'll be 88!" (When did the child starting doing math?)
Nathaniel says things like that, too. I think it's more counting than math at this point.
I remember her birthday because it's exactly 3 months after mine to the day. Two other people (that I know of...possibly more on her own flist) beat me to the LJ happy birthday wishes, though. I'm slow. ;)
You can still wish her a happy birthday. I'm sure she will appreciate it more when she isn't groggy. ;)
