From a beach in Jaco, Costa Rica. My life changed completely that day. It's sounds gross saying it for some reason but that entire trip changed my sense of self and gave me the drive to be where I am now. Thank you, Sam, for bringing that change out in me and sitting patiently through awkward conversations with me where I sat in shy adoration.

Somehow I find that traveling, especially to places that are drastically different than my home, really kind of distills something in me. And partly that's the inevitable travel stress, in my case, of running to catch trains and coping with the inevitable plan!fail disasters, but… there's nowhere better for soul-searching than somewhere wildly unusual. :3
