THEY ARE FIXING MY HOUSE TODAY!!! Warren met the electrician at the house this morning. I am beyond relieved. We may be able to get home soon. Maybe even by the weekend. I can't even being to tell you how happy I am right now. We have to go to the county utilities office (I think) to get a permit and inspection but hopefully that won't take too ( Read more... )

 We're still alive at the moment. Dominion power came by this morning and cut the power at the pole. We've got an electrician (hopefully) lined up to come out in the next day or so to replace the box. The good news is that the linemen that did the power cutting today said we don't need to upgrade service, just the box, which is much, much cheaper ( Read more... )

Go support local filmmakers, BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY- GO SUPPORT HAND TURKEY STUDIOS- at the 48-Hour Film Festival today at the Byrd Theater. Films  are by participants of the 48-Hour Film Project,  so its not 48 hours of having to watch films. This weekend while Warren was participating in the 48 Hour Film Project, Lex and I went camping with my family, which involved a trip to the Pork, Peanut and Pine Festival. Yes, PORK, PEANUT AND PINE all celebrated in one glorious festival at the Chippokes Plantation State Park. Here are the highlights:
