Chris and I recently started doing Yoga (Ashtanga) on a regular basis, and it's one of the most awesome things I've ever done. I've been physically active in varying levels of intensity for most of my life, and this might be my favorite type of exercise ever. We go to the Yoga Room right behind the Up Front Theatre. We started out with the 10 days for 20 bucks deal, and liked it so much we went ahead and got the $100 punch cards. All the info is there on the website.

Are you thinking about giving it a try?

Thinking about it. I've always been kind of curious - everyone that does it seems to love it. I am not too active though lately - will that make a difference?

You should totally do it. The awesome thing about yoga is that all levels of fitness can be accommodated. Each pose has varying levels of difficulty, so you can start slow and work your way up to more challenging stuff as you get stronger and more flexible.

It seems like most of the yoga studios in town have some sort of introductory/new student deal so you can try it out and see if you like it without a gigantic financial commitment. I chose the yoga room mostly because of the class schedule - it worked with my daily routine.

I'm always surprised by how great my body feels after a good yoga session. Yoga seriously kicks my ass, in a good way!
