I just got back from Bagel's memorial. It was kind of long, because the program didn't start on time, but nice. It was mostly family and close friends of his giving speeches about their fondest memories and some songs. It was more smiles than tears, which was also nice. A lot of laughter, too. I'm so sorry that he died. He seemed like a bright and funny guy from all your pictures!

Bright and funny, he definitely was that. We're really going to miss him there. Plus he practically was the whole of VaRF, people actually would come specifically to see his act. It really was funny. The directors want his stage manager, Devon, to basically do his act, because he taught her all the tricks and she's practically memorized every word he ever spoke to her. I think it's kind of a bad idea, because it's clearly not going to be the same, but we'll see how it turns out for next year.

well I think it would be great to carry on his 'legacy', but just make it her own act. not a play by play of his.

so how are YOU doing???

Me? I'm fine. I really didn't know him outside of faire, so while I'm sad that he's dead, I'm not overwhelmed with grief. But I think it's always shocking when anyone you know dies unexpectedly.

To be honest, I felt much worse when Kono died. I cried all night for him. But I was closer to Kono.

HOw are you bunch down there in Florida?
