Finally -- the eagle has landed.
Okay, so here's the deal. I finally took pictures of (most) of the inside of my new house.
Sooooo now I'm going to brag a bit.

This is our foyer.
It's okay. You can be jealous of my kitchen.
We can't actually burn wood in the fireplace, so we put candles in it instead.
The room where we do our living (and eating sometimes).
My sister has very good taste (and is a professional interior designer...so I guess I lucked out).
Note the fabulous built-in benches to the left...they surround the fireplace.
My pretty, pretty room. I love this room. And my bay window.
A girl can never have too many bookcases. (In my case, it's more than true.)
I put that bookcase together all by myself! And it's still standing! Wonder of wonders!
It took four or five coats of cherry red paint for that desk to get finished.
I also painted these tables -- I thought the hummingbirds would add some sass.
I could probably fill another several feet of space on this post with more pictures of the house, but I'd thought I'd hit the highlights that are most relative to me. (Sounds vain, but well...it IS my journal.) If any of you are ever in Grand Rapids, come visit and I will bake you things. It's true.
