So yeah, posting or something.
This summer has been pretty typical so far, other than the fact that the weather has been a bit cooler and a tad more rainy than normal in this region. So, that means that my tomatoes are starting to look pretty awesome and I can't wait 'til more start turning red. Already the cherry ones are too yummy for words.
Drew is Drew. He's off with friends most of the day do whatever it is that they do, which normally is swimming, goofing off on their bikes, or playing games at other people's houses. He had his last rabies shot today. A few weeks ago he and a friend found a bat with babies on the ground and actually touched them. Rawr. So for precautionary measures, he's gone through the battery of shots to make sure he doesn't get rabies.He'll be fourteen a couple of weeks. Just wow at that for a moment. He doesn't look 14 at all. He's kinda short for his age.
Went on the 'vacation' to DC a couple of weeks ago. Yes, I have pictures and I'll post them when I finally get them organized. I've been going on a 'lets get all of the photos organized and titled and dated' thing lately, and I'm only up to 2007 atm. Seriously, NEVER put that kind of thing off, because it is hell and then some to get it all settled after piling up! Anywho, the vacation was both interesting and fun, although I walked the hell out of me feet so hard that it got to be that by noon, I could have cared less what was being looked at, which is kinda sad. After walking through the mall and downtown area where all of the government buildings were, I swear, I wanted to join in all of that. I was like, dammit, this is why I got the degree that I did, so I could do things here. Ah well, funny how life works out.
Seeing as everyone on my LJ is people I've met online, and there are only two main online pursuits I have... Perngamess and FFXI here is a quick synopsis. As for Pern, I've done a lot of trimming down with the characters so that I've three main ones now that I RP with. I actually cleaned out SimpleMu the other day of all kinds of old characters that I don't play with anymore. HT is HT *eyeroll*. I dunno some days. I try. I hang out. If people ask on channel, I'm happy to play. I don't get many specific requests to RP. Guess I'm just not that cool! DF is entertaining, as it tends to be. I love how people aren't shy at all to ask on there. And I love how accomodating it is to new people. So happy and people are /eager/ to RP with anyone and others. It's a far cry from HT, which makes me sad. Ah well, as I said before, I try.
FFXI is the other thing. Seeing as obviously everyone is gonna make something of an exodus to FFXIV when it comes out sometime next year, I'm so totally gonna be left in the dust unless I finally break down and get a new PC, because this one is seriously on its last legs. It is well past time I invest in something new, but... bleh. I need to see too what the running requirements might be for the new FFXIV might be as well to fiddle around with possibilities. Anywho, FFXI is my march for a Maat's Cap. Funny thing, I've only ever fought Maat as a WHM, so far. I suppose when I start working on the hurdle that is beastmaster, I'll start moving thru the 75 fights.
