David Allan Myron, 61, of Vermillion, SD, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 6, 2009, by natural causes at his residence.
David was born on October 12, 1947 in Vermillion, the son of Warren and Helen (Brown) Myron. He attended Vermillion schools and recieved his GED dipolma from high school in Frankfurt, Germany. He served in the Army (SP4) from 1969 - 1973, spending most of 1970 in Vietnam. He worked at the University of South Dakota for 19 years as Building Maintenance Leader Worker. David was a member of the V.F.W. and Fraternal Order of Eagles in Vermillion.
He is survived by his children, Amy and Paige Myron, both of Vermillion, and Troy (Dana) Myron of Denison, IA; his father, Warren Myron of Vermillion; his brothers & sister-in-law, Keith & Craig (Darlis) Myron, all of Vermillion; his sisters, Lynn Myron of Vermillion, and Julie (friend, Tom Myers) Stephens of Sioux Falls; two grandsons, Andrew Myron of Vermillion, and Drake Myron of Denison, IA; ten nieces, two nephews, six great-nieces, and four grand-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Myron.
Visitation:
Visitation willbe from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, October 11, 2009 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Vermillion.
Service:
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Monday, October 12, 2009 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Vermillion with Rev. Ed Anderson officiating.
