Ga Eul had never thought that the best way to get over Soo Pyo was to go on a date with F4's Casanova.

Once Yi Jung sunbae dropped his guard, Ga Eul took her chance (hook, line and sinker) and quickly pressed a peck on his cheek.

The mold of clay felt oddly different whenever he and Ga Eul were working side by side on a new project.

Swallowing back his words, Yi Jung wordlessly watched her walk away from him.
5. potatoes
The first thing he had successfully learned to cook for Ga Eul -not counting his first attempt that ended up burned and inedible or the second or the third attempts- was mashed potatoes; she'd seemed pleased.

The weather had other ideas when it decided to cut his first real date with Ga Eul short with a downpour, leaving him no choice but to use his own jacket as protection above their heads.

"You called?" Yi Jung couldn't hide the amusement from creeping in his voice as soon as he spotted Ga Eul waiting at the bus station, clutching her cell phone in her lap.

He used to like whispering sweet nothings into every girl's ears to make them shiver and giggle in delight; don't get him wrong, he still likes the habit, only, he doesn't do it anymore when there's Ga Eul nearby whispering the same sweet nothings into his own.

"Country bumpkin," he grins in greeting and receives both a scowl and a disguised threat behind her muttering in return.

He knows Ga Eul is doing it unconsciously, tilting her head just enough to expose her lovely neckline, no longer hidden under the curtain of open hair, as she tries to adjust her shoe ribbons around her ankles; but, he just can't stop staring.

"I'm so sorry," Ga Eul says softly as she pulls him into an awkward embrace, away from the mourning crowd of estranged family, relatives, friends and acquaintances.

After their first night of passion Ga Eul easily turns red whenever Yi Jung comes closer to her.

She couldn't bear to see him crumpled and defenseless on his knees as he cried out to the person, who would never hear his pleas; it's only then she realized very loud and clear that they will never be.

With an evil grin on his face, he pressed down the gas pedal down and enjoyed the feel of Ga Eul's hand clamping his wrist as a lifeline.

If Geum Jan Di is a whirlwind for Gu Jun Pyo -rough, unexpected and hard to grasp- then Chu Ga Eul is the morning breeze for So Yi Jung; feather-light, soothing and refreshing.

Time has stretched far too long for Yi Jung's liking while he awaits Ga Eul's answer for his indirect confession.

Figures, she thought sarcastically almost and rolled her eyes as she watched Casanova sweet-talked -in supposedly in New-Caledonian, which he probably made up himself-to one of the waitresses into giving him an extra dish for free.

He likes their rare evenings together -when he's no longer swamped with exhibitions and she's no longer correcting students' papers-, playing footsie under the table and snuggling close to each other on the couch in the living-room.

If Yi Jung says one thing, he actually means it's the other one, Ga Eul realizes immediately, and yet when he promised to look her up if she hasn't found her soul mate yet-what exactly is he trying to tell her?

"This is a delicate matter, but do you, Chu Ga Eul, love me enough to give me children?"

"Yes, of course sunbae," she answers and suddenly Yi Jung could picture himself spending years with her alone, married, and with kids (and maybe even with a family cat or a dog).

It takes only a few (nano) seconds to write a quick text message only to receive a reply barely before midnight, specifically more than 12 hours later with a threat; "I was in the middle of a meeting with the principal!" Ga Eul all but shouted despite her irritation and only once she was done, Yi Jung gave her the surprise box as reconciliation.

She didn't notice the rose until he presented it in front of her nose with an exaggerating twirl of his wrist.

When did it become so easy to smile at her without any ulterior motives coming into play?

Ga Eul believes in an ideal relationship, an ideal bond, an ideal future... too many ideals to count; it's this sole reason that irks him and makes him want to crush her world into pieces even if it means suppressing his guilty conscience.

10 years later he'll look back to this day when he and Ga Eul had gone to an amusement park together, trying every available ride and visiting all the stands until closing time; no doubt, Ga Eul will probably only remember this day as the one day the cool Casanova had thrown up his lunch in a wastebasket.

After laying low from the local media about his and Ga Eul's quiet wedding, Yi Jung opened his first exhibition at the national museum, first with scrolls of his wife's calligraphy writing surrounding wisps of characters and then, his new pottery works with complementing swirls depicting passing clouds.

Although Yi Jung received his share of kisses over the years as Casanova -he lost count how many- he secretly enjoys the few ones he receives from Ga Eul; they're sweet and shy (and too short for his liking).

Are you still willing to accept me, Ga Eul seems to hear those unspoken words as she watches him go through frustrations and regrets, even when he ignores her silent offer of a shoulder to lean on.

Mornings are nice when Ga Eul could watch Yi Jung from the kitchen sink as he teaches their baby the first waltz under the bright rays of the sun.

"You're the moon in my heart," and the MC raised Ga Eul's hand to his lips to plant a kiss between her knuckles, ignoring her companion's disapproving glare; then, Yi Jung snatched her hand away from the other man's grasp and repeated the same words with his usual husky smoothness, his eyes boring into Ga Eul's own.

Yi Jung could not tear his eyes away from his soon-to-be wife as she walked down the aisle with a nervous smile on her face, the hem of her wedding dress trailing dramatically behind her with every step she neared his side.

On one hand, Ga Eul wanted to laugh at Yi Jung's attempt to style their daughter's hair on her first day to kindergarten (pigtails, little braids, buns), but on the other hand, she found him pitiful for using the wrong kind of colored hair clasps and hair bands.

Her hands shook as they reached out to his, squeezing gently, as Ga Eul broke the news of being three months pregnant; "This time," she says smiling, “It’s a boy."
