Well the whole commercial vehicle border fee thing rubs me in a few wrong ways...

They're essentially giving us an incentive to enter the US in private cars instead of buses, trains or planes. Which is very un-Obama of him. And yes, it would suck for tourism both ways.

And it also goes to show that any sort of US-Canada deep integration will be largely under American rules. Sure, let's integrate our borders into one big frontier, but damned if I'm going to let you actually cross that border without coughing up another fee.
