That was the worse 3.5 hours of my life, but the last 3mins (the actual interview) was funny, since I ended up explaining an Anthropomorphic convention to a bemused looking chinese embassy staff member. Still, my enthusiasm for a beaky (which was very obvious) won him quickly over :)
