It sure does. I'm working, and thinking, and we're dealing with Immigration... still. Hubby has a work visa, but is unable to get a driver's license. Soooo.... he can work, but has no reliable way to GET to work if he gets a job. Uahhhhh don't remind me that there are only 2 weeks left D: I still have so much left to do!

And ugh, you'd think that once you're married, they'd just be a citizen. Period. I don't understand why we're so strict on immigration here, especially considering our origins! Maybe we should scribble out the inscription on the Statue of Liberty and replace it with "actually, stay out." :\

What's blocking it is my legal status in the country - which hasn't yet been decided.

Yes that's right - they've granted me a work permit (temp 1 year) but not given me legal status. It's this the DVLA are interested in - your residency status. They won't accept the Work permit as proof of residency (which it isn't)

My UK permit allows me to drive for 6mths max since arrival. That was 7 months ago.
