Why do people line up for movies? I can understand showing up early to make sure you have plenty of time to get snacks, find a good seat, etc and then seeing that there are more people there than you anticipated and end up waiting in a line. But coming before the release of a movie to wait in line? I'd rather just wait 3 weeks, when the people ( Read more... )

That's how I feel about buying movies. Why should I pay $20.00, when I can wait for six months to a year and pay $5.00. Just makes more sense to me. :)

Well, for one thing, there's a value to be had from knowing what the hell everyone is talking about around the water cooler the next day. You can offset this by asking questions, and folks will happily chit-chat with you about it though.

Then there's just plain impatience.
