My friend Diana fell in a manhole our second day here. Luckily another girl was in a taxi that drove by and managed to convince the driver that she knew the girl stuck in the manhole and he pulled over and helped her. Then a couple of weeks later poor Diana was bit by a dog. Beware the manhole covers and the dogs.

i'm still laughing about the pants-less lady. oh my. the manhole thing confirms one of my childhood fears. I'm glad I'm not in russia, but now I won't be able to help being a teensy bit scared of the ones here. how far do you drop? are there ninja turtles down there?
