some poems i decided to share. don't worry, i didn't write them.

she bites her tongue
and stands up straight
rolls her eyes
and fancies fate
savors the thought
that it was all meant to
plummet down creek
reality smacks her in the face
as she brushes the blush onto her cheek
and maybe if she puts it on a little thick
the people will never know
she's anemic
and this is where the concealer goes
underneath her eyes
she can't stop worrying herself awake
with yesterday's goodbyes
cherry lipstick
feels so smooth
and then she rubs it in
if she colors them well
perhaps no one will know where these lips have been
eyes are the window
to the soul
well i suppose these eyes need shades
look as feminine as you can
until the mascara fades
she sees the swelling and is vividly reminded
of how much his words had stung
she closes her eyes
and bites her tongue

moon!
moon!
i am prone before you.
pity me,
and drench me in loneliness.
-amy lowell

i thought she was her and she is but sometimes she forgets and i wonder and wander
-saul williams

there are a bunch more i fell in love with, one specifically, but. . . it would be awkward to post them here.

i will leave you with this:

"for the mad"

you will be alone at last

in the sanity of your friends.

brilliance will fade away from you

and you will settle in dimmed light.

you will not remember how to mourn

your dying difference.

you will not be better but

they will say you are well.
