I'm trying to think of what to say here. The sentence that comes to mind is "You've thought of everything." The ways Charles uses his telepathy to speed his emotional and physical recovery. The debate between him and Erik. His definition of evil. The motivations of Shaw's mutants. I am so impressed with all of it. And with the way it all flows from the one tiny change, Charles reaching out to Erik after being shot instead of pushing him away. This is amazing and I can't wait to read the next part.

Thanks! This is actually more the way I like to imagine that the split between them happened. Erik switching sides so suddenly and violently made sense for a plot point when the moviemakers weren't sure they'd have a sequel, but if the characters were real people, I think they would have tried a lot harder to stay together.
