Geez....
Could you guys have masectomies now before you actually get the cancer to try and keep it at bay? I know that's not exactly what anyone would want to do, but would it do anything to, I don't know, help? Has your doctor had any suggestions?

Well, it's kind of complicated. First off, the doctors have previously sort of blown off our history because "it's on your dad's side", which if they actually read the literature on it they would know that it means nothing different than if it was on our mom's side. But now they may change there tune because of my dad's diagnosis. About getting the masectomy the thing is, yes that may prevent it if they get all the tissue. The problem is unless you are proven to have the genetic abnormality it's a super super expensive surgery. So either way you have to spend tons of money. And there is the emotional factors too. I for one have a mini plan of how it would ideally work for me: I really want to breast feed my children, so my plan is to pop out some kids, nourish them, and then chop the breasts off after i'm done with them. But we'll see what happens i guess.
