no you dumb idiot, that is not how Dubai is spelled, or otherwise it would have.

There are two ways to spell it, but the most common way is "Dubai".
I'm local, the way we say it is very different.
Saying "Dubai" elognates and stresses on the "U" and the "Ai".
the Locals say it as "D-bai" the "ai" is soft.

i'm just angry for diff reasons. sorry bout that.
i'm local too and dubai is the only way it's spelled. just cause it's said differently doesn't mean the spelling must change.
