Edit edit. I'm a fag and I forgot to say my measly amount of TNPS photos are here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/40690328@N03/ I'm putting this at the top in the hope that people will still look at them. Over the past two weeks, I have had the immense pleasure of seeing many ( Read more... )

I don't know! I don't really like most metaphors like that, I think they sound a bit silly but I couldn't think of a straightforward way of putting it. Sigh...

I really felt it in my chest, like a strangely reversed gunshot that rallied me and drew me in instead of shooting me down

That's a wonderful description, I love it. TNP are totally on my list of bands I need to see live, their l8est album is great in so many ways.

I regret not taking drama too, although I've no idea if I'd actually be any good at it. I mainly just like the excuse to dress up, which is the most important part obv.

Hahhaha, I'm pretty proud of myself actually, I rarely manage to come up with a description that I think is fitting. <3

And yes, the dressing up is VERY IMPORTANT. I would adore that. I've been in a play once and getting the costume was one of the best things about it. Among many - I get the feeling I could have become a lot more confident and seen and done many things I won't get to do now.

The last time I was in a play it was a tiny part of an old lady in a very amateur school thing, I'm not sure if I even had any lines, but the best part thing was going through the cupboard of costumes and finding a fur coat and an exciting Victorian kind of dress.

Among many - I get the feeling I could have become a lot more confident and seen and done many things I won't get to do now.

Same. Quite a few people have said it would've been good for my confidence. A lot of people dismiss it as not a 'real' subject, but that shouldn't have mattered at GCSE. I'd still kind of like to get involved with acting and such but I've no idea how I'd go about doing so.

Yeah, totally. I joined an amateur acting group once a few years ago because I really wanted to get involved in it, but the day after the first time I went, one of the girls who went too came up to me in school and said accusingly, "why did you come to my drama group?!" in such an offensive and horrible way that I was really ashamed and never went back.

I seriously regret not auditioning for more of the school plays or joining in in other ways, but I guess that's tough... in the future though, I'd love to audition for some sort of role, even if it's just general cast. The only problem is finding where you can find out about that in the first place... D:
