Just wondering

Where do people buy syringes? I don't think you can just walk into CVS and buy one, can you? Man being a junkie must be a lot harder than we give them credit for.

Almost all major metropolitan areas have needle exchange programs where you can procure clean needles. I think that is the main method. I am pretty sure you can buy syringes without a prescription as well, but you probably have to show ID and all that stuff.

Yeah I read an article about needle exchange programs which is what made me wonder about it. I wouldn't have the first clue where to buy a syringe.

Actually, in most states you don't need a prescription to get insulin syringes, which are I believe what IV drug users often use, though it can vary by pharmacy as well in states where it's not required. I'm sure even where it is, insulin syringes end up on the black market somehow, whether stolen or gotten via a seemingly legit scrip or something. That and clean needle exchanges and whatnot.
