I never came to a conclusion or acted on the previous
Girl Talk post.
But with the rising cost of EVERYTHING and my state of unemployment - I'm revisiting the idea of getting away from disposable feminine products.
Besides the
Diva Cup and the
Instead Soft Cup, I've been looking at the
Moon Cup (a non-latex version of the Keeper).
I'm liking the idea of the moon cup better than either the Diva or Instead. It just looks easier to use to me. I have no issue with the fact that you can't have inter-course while using it. During my period, I'm in so much physical pain, that sex is not something I even think about.
My main concern with any of these products is mess. I find the whole menstrual thing so messy anyway -even using pads, that I wonder how much messier, inserting and removing a cup would be. Also, how flexible do you have to be to use these products?
Do any of you female peeps out there have direct experience using any of these products (or similar ones)? Can you comment on the messiness of it? Amount of flexibility needed?
I feel that this could be a very cost-effective switch and eco-friendlier option - but don't want to jump into something that might not work for me.
