Well, life is good. We're back from Fiji...which was pretty much the most relaxed I've been in my entire life. We all swam, lapped up the sunshine, eased our cares at the day spa, ate, and slept. It was really a great idea. Just a little bit away (it was only a week and a half) has made a tremendous difference. My heart problems have abated ( ( Read more... )

Very soon! We need to have our own meat day since we're missing yours. We should be free and clear the weekend of the 14th/15th to catch up sometime, somewhere. I miss you!!

Aww. I love cats! I wish I had some.

Fiji sounds beauteous. As does a new car! Congrats!

I'm glad your heart problems have abated. They usually are stress related. Have you considered a change of career?

It's scary, but life is good. I've been a bit maudlin for the last couple of days as yesterday marked the one year point since my Uncle Dave's passing last year. I was depressed for months afterwards, and that plus my health stuff had me really really down. Things are good now, so I'm sort of just sitting with the fact that I'm sad he's gone and sad to have the anniversary...but I'll be setting that aside and being happy again ( ... )

We can have cats, as soon as I feel Natasha is old enough not to attack them. Which should be soon, really.

I'd love to come over and borrow yours! I'm sure the kids would enjoy that, too. Maybe we can have a mini-meat day (ref, above comment) where we play with cats?

I totally get you on the 'I'm a stress-head' thing. I was pretty stressed when I worked in a newsagency, but about different things! I am so happy with what I do, that I'm learning how to manage the stress. My Dad said he never feels like he's on top of things, then gets commendations for a great job... and I realised I'm the same. I just accept that I don't feel on top of things, and trust that I will deliver, rather than stressing about it.
