For the most part, yeah. The last two primaries were held last night, and Obama won the last few delegates he needed to earn the nomination. He was being called the presumptive nominee last night, and the actual democratic nominee today.
Clinton is being stubborn and hasn't officially bowed out yet, but she really has no argument left, since she lost not only the delegate count but the popular vote (by a very small margin, about 16,000 votes, but a loss is a loss) as well. She's expected to drop out officially within the next couple days, and there's talk of her now trying to elbow her way to the top of the list for VP candidates.
I'm somewhat torn on the idea. I agree with wanting to see a woman in an executive position in the White House, but I want that woman there because she is the RIGHT person for the job, not just because she's female, or there's a rush to make history, or because there's presidential experience already in the family (we've all seen how that one turned out).
And while I am a supporter of Bill's previous terms in office, I don't think I want any Clinton, regardless of past performance, in such a high position of power again. They're both corrupt as hell, keen on using intimidation to get their way. I don't want another bully in the White House with a "my way or no way" attitude.
I don't really think she could play second fiddle anyways, since the VP is essentially the same as the Queen of England - nothing more than a figurehead.
