I got hit with a major dash of depression over the last few days. I called my mom from work to check in on her the other day and she was so sick, I couldn't even understand what she was saying.. and she couldn't hear me... i almost broke down. I'm watching her body disintegrate before my eyes. She was diagnosed in May and now they are saying 2, 3

i'm so sorry to see you going through this at such a young age, steve. there's no appropriate age, i suppose - no age where it's easier - and i can't imagine the fury you're feeling at having your mother stolen from you like this.. (actually i can somewhat - a couple of years ago, my mother suffered from a ruptured intestine, and we were told she had 24 hours to live - remarkably, and thankfully she made a recovery, although she has been considerably disabled). what i'm trying to say is - be strong steve, and treasure her and the time you have with her - you seem to have a beautiful love together, and that's something not all parents and children are able to share. you are fortunate to have understood the value of that love and the relationships you have had and will have in the future. keep that with you. bless you both.
