This post may seem a bit vain, even downright trivial, but it's time for an revelation. I have great hair. That is not to say that I take great care of it, or look great all the time. Far from it. Yet I know that I have great hair

you DO have awesome hair. :) i've always liked it. and i can confirm that not everyone get's the talking-up for a tip. i never do! but then again, my hair is like straw, only thinner.
i'm really sorry that i didn't get to see you when you were around for your birthday. from what Cat said it sounds like it was a great time. i hope to catch you again the next time, and HAPPY belated BIRTHDAY!

p.s. i am enjoying Cat's Eye! finally getting into it. :)
As you have put me into the role of innocent bystander who saw you moments before you walked into Astor Place, I must note for the record that your hair looked awesome before getting it cut too.
Yes, in addition to saving baby tigers in Africa I can sometimes put my name behind a good cause in the local community too.
Oh yes you DO have great hair. I have on several occasions stroked it lovingly and whispered sweet nothings at it. Even if you don't take care of it, it still looks healthy and awesome, and that's the important thing.
I've always been fond of my hair...it's one of the few features I really like. And no matter what I do to it, dying, highlights, chlorinating the crap out of it, it's always loyal to me and bounces right back. 3 cheers for having healthy hair. Thank goodness we don't have to do hot oil treatments or sacrifice small woodland animals to the hair gods to get hair that some women would kill for.
Word. I've never dyed my hair, and at this point in my life I think I'm terrified to try it. At least my hair is not overly chemified. I do not work terribly hard on my appearance, and if I had crappy hair it would only be one more reason why I'm single.
In the event that I do need work done, can you recommend a particularly effective small woodland animal?
You're right, yet I can't think of a rockstar haircut that would actually work for me. I am lazy, and I would need a style that required no work. Perhaps the Rod Stewart look?
