Oh Yeah, That's Right. Dorkiest. Post. Ever.

Gentle readers, please indulge a moment of proud reflection. To be fair, I did very little of the actual work. No, that distinction belongs to David Ortiz, C.C. Sabathia, Justin Morneau, Brian McCann, Alex Rios, Magglio Ordonez, Miguel Cabrera, Dustin Pedroia, John Smoltz, Jhonny Peralta, Miguel Tejada, Rich Hill, Ben Sheets, Fransisco Cordero, ( Read more... )

Hell yes, it was awesome. I am going to take every opportunity to be a jerk about it, too. Because girls rule, and those boys need to know it.

hey, weird question -- you didn't happen to go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Saturday afternoon, did you? I was in town visiting some family and could have SWORN I saw you getting into a cab out front. wacky.

anyway, congrats on kicking some boy-butt and acquiring an Xbox. rock on :)

Why no, I was not at the Met on Saturday. I didn't even leave the blessed borough of Brooklyn on Saturday. Unless the Met suddenly became the Fairway in Red Hook. In which case, yes. Also... I don't have culture.

The boys are really sore losers. The Xbox 360 has awesome graphics, and the game library is decent. Good on Microsoft. Wow, did I just say that?

you know what makes it even dorkier? you wrote, "the yankees are hitting the indians."

way to forsake your love for the 216, 330 and 440. we'll remember this.

You're right, it's not that I'm "happy" that the Indians may fall to the Yankees, it's that they are the most likely to lose to the Yankees. Trust me, I would love nothing more than a Red Sox-Yankees first round, but that will never happen, as long as they are in the same division. Also, I am very excited to see the Wang vs. Sabathia match-up tomorrow. Trust me, if the Indians beat the Yankees, I will be poised to root for them over the NL... but those Phillies... and those Cubs... they have it coming...

And hey, "hitting" is the lingo. And yeah, I'm a dork.

oh, man.

last night was glorious.

cleveland, 1. arrogant, over-paid pinstripers that everyone hates, 0.

sidebar #1: well, really, it's more like cleveland 3, y'all 1. or cleveland 6, y'all 4. but whatever.

sidebar #2: and no, we don't hate the yankees because they're good -- we hate their goddamn sense of entitlement. speaking of, could the tbs announcers have been falling all over damon and jeter any more than they were? i'm still surprised i didn't hear chip caray say, "while the yankees may have lost, we all know it's a combination of sheer exhaustion from being SO AWESOME after the all-star break and those damned cleveland bugs!"

Well, it's good to know that the land of Cleve can conjure up a plague to win baseball. Good on them. Seriously, WTF, Petitte pitched a great game, but you were lighting incense around a voodoo doll of Joba, weren't you ( ... )
