At Least the Special Effects Were Edgy?

As I was watching Transformers last night, I was rather put off by something. No, it wasn't the blatant jingoism, the flashy transformations, or the fact that Megatron was clearly the best actor in the film. You're so right. And I probably didn't even notice that little detail. How observant of you!

Just goes to show you that they really weren't all that concerned with the details. Probably weren't wracking their brains trying to come up with relevant costume choices. Not a whole lot of film research went into that area. All they needed was "slacker" clothes and some slutty outfit for the chick, and there ya go.

Also, mmmm....I love Cat Power. And The Arcade Fire. Some of the others I haven't even heard before. Built to Spill? Not sure if I'm aware of them.

I had a vision of some wardrobe assistant realizing that the Strokes weren't cool in the middle of shooting the film, and they couldn't exactly go back and re-shoot every scene, so they embraced it like they would embrace a cool uncle: not quite current, but with an aura of what once was ( ... )

I can handle lots of new music. I love new music!! Rachelle just gave me a bunch of data CDs, so that would be totally rad. I really want to get into some new stuff since I feel like I've been listening to the same old stuff lately, so having whole albums would be good.

I wish I could return the favor, but I don't know if you'd like my music. I have a lot of folksy stuff, and some good country. Not the shitty stuff. But I don't know if you'd even want that. But if you do, let me know and we can trade. Hehe.
