I'm planning a trip to Pittsburgh sometime in August or September. I still need to look at Pitt's academic calendar to figure out when. The plan is to leave here on a Friday or Saturday, and stay a little over a week until the second Sunday. About 9 days

I hope you find somewhere to stay for free, but if not, you may want to get the cheapest hotel in the pittsburgh area (a Motel 6 or whatever) and take the bus. That's what I just did on my trip to Illinois. We stayed in the next town over, spent $2 each way on public transportation, and ultimately saved a great deal of money.

You can stay with me. I'm moving Sept 1 and I doubt my old roommates or my new ones would mind. However if so you would be a lot more comfortable if you come in Sept, cuz then there won't be dog hair all over the couch and there will be a lot more fans, and you'll like my new roommates. :) Call me.
