Time once again for writers from around the world to mentally flagellate themselves. This time instead of novellas, it's scripts, and this time the acronym isn't so nearly long and mind baffling!
This time around, north americans get to write something in the middle of summer (all those in the southern hemisphere get to participate in NaNoWriMo in the middle of summer as well), and this time the word count is still the same.
For 30 days (starting June 1st, ending June 30th) writers from around the world come together to write 20000 word screen or stageplays in a non-stop violent orgy of never-ending mind flaying and mastochism. At least, that's what I read in the brochure.
Anyhow. Screenplay progresses significantly, then at about four AM I realize that the screenplay isn't going to work out because it doesn't have a middle, or an ending, just abstract scenes that somehow must link together. So yet again I sit here scribbling on a bit of looseleaf trying to make another screenplay work. Here's to science fiction time travelling police officers yet again!
And in other news...
Anyone remember
this? Arrrrgh matey, send the name Darran to davy jones's locker! You will commandeer your ship as:
