WARNING: Criminals May Be Posing As Customers

As-is, not a stranger bellapoison August 6 2002, 15:14:49 UTC
Just wanted to say I somewhat resent being thought a stranger. I am but a friendly female Dallasite who happened to stumble over an Uber Maus upon her first foray into live journal, or LJ, as it's so lovingly known around here. You know me, and I know you, though not in the biblical sense.

I got your number, yo. "The Shinnery Review" was kind of a giveaway (disguising one's LJ identitiy seems to be a kind of community game. For awhile I was referring to all my friends by cryptic phrases or initials, not sure why). I do like the British Empire feel of "friendly female Dallasite," though. I say, Capitan Wolverly, I don't mind telling you I got to know one or two of the friendly female natives, though not, I'm afraid, in the Biblical sense. Now, if I can only get these damned fleas out of my pith helmet before tea time...

A Big UberMaus Rah! to you, by the way. I like your journal. I haven't figured out who your friends are, though -- do I know them?

I refuse to allow you to like my journal as yours is much, much cooler. Suave, I would say. Mine is still kind of hiding in a corner, not quite sure with whom to dance. I make no secret of my identity, as, up to this moment, all my friends were people I worked with at the Observer who already knew my dark, Magenta secret. And now I add you, O ACU Alumnus.

And may I remind you, The owls are not what they seem.
