So, a lot of you know I've been a bit under the weather of late, and have been signed off work for a few weeks. Very glad not to be at work, but I feel a bit like a dirty rotten skiver. So I've been keeping myself busy, doing some painting , setting up a website ( under Red Bubble - amazing place for lots of art, though there's a lot of crap there ( Read more... )

Beautiful! I love The Chapel and The Vineyard best, but they are all fantastic!

Ooooh, pretty! I particularly like "North Berwick Law." I don't suppose it's ever going to be made available in anything bigger than a card? Seriously, we have a big, blank wall in our bedroom where that print would be perfect.

And, just for the record, I'm not just saying this because you're my friend. ;-)

Umm..honest answer? nope. It's not that it's been sold, it's just it was a BAD painting that I fucked about with to make a nice image, in a kind of waste-not want-not way. So it only really exists in the digital. The rest are real live paintings, which is embarassing that this particular one is the popular one !

I will however try and do more like that :)

Don't be embarrassed! And I refuse to believe it was a bad painting if you were able to get that end result.

Plus, there is nothing wrong with digital media. Where would the world be without Zak's ms paint originals?

Wow. Vineyards are nice as hell, and the Berwick ones are appealingly ominous (not sure if you were going for that look, but that's the way they look to me), but what I like best is the way you paint water. Wavy and shimmery and shiny and dark where it needs to be. Silly, I know. You still rock. :-)

I didn't know you weren't feeling well -- I hope you start feeling better soon!

Now I just need to get a house so that I can buy actual artwork and hang it up! I would snatch The Chapel up in a heartbeat. Probably North Berwick Law, too, though I see Charlene would fight me for it. :p

The chapel has awaited a good home for a few years now, so buy a house! :)

It's one of my favourite paintings, just because I loved sitting outside painting it in the twilight in the pyrenees.
