I'm working on a song, but there's two ways I can go with it...
I'm not sure which way I should, so i'll as you all for opinions. Tentatively, it's called
Dali, but I know that I'll change that. Here's what I got so far:
Time melts slowly
In a tree's hand
The Great Masturbator
Fades into the land
Hang your eggs
From a string
And put them on
A plate of nothing
Stretch the egg
That is the earth
Get through the shell
Force your birth
Share a kiss
As you eat
EAch other whole
How very sweet
An explosion
Of your faith
You could see
The holy wraith
Now, for the two ways I could go, one would be to make it like a tribute to Dali himself, which is what it's turning into at the moment. Another way (and the more likely) way I might go, is to split the lines into a few other songs, mixing up the words and changing the meanings. Oh, and just so you all know, each stanza was just about one of his paintings, basically a description of it.
So, there it is. Tell me which way I should go and junk, and hey, why not say if you kinda like it (if you don't, remember, it's very in progress...)?
Oh, and for fun, go ahead and try and guess the paintings that each part is with.
Later.
