It depends on whether as an author of a social revolution that has failed you want to be beautiful or if you want to be a part of a you want to be the author of the most beautifully failed one. With the latter you are getting at, I think it'd be tough. If it were the former however well... hey... Anyone can be Karl Marx in that category.
