Apparently there is more to the decline, in the past decade or so, of putting two spaces after sentences than mere laziness (or that HTML necessitates tricks to do it).

I'm baffed by people who can't remember the models of their first computers. It's like not knowing what your first car was. I suppose they could be called computer passengers-along for the ride (games, etc), but not really aware of what it is.

Most computer users these days seem to be passengers.
