yeah, the boyfriend of the girl who played Lysistrata in the play I was in is directing it. He was a communications/marketing major at Evergreen and is interested in binurals (? the dissonance between one wave and another that results in altered mind states such as the one produced in REM sleep, which is 11mhz), and is doing it with a German Expressionist style backdrop/costumes. He's really into Robert Wilson.
I don't know what any thing before "German Expressionist" means, but it sounds hot. I currently have this production of Siegfried set in a diner. A very zaftig singer plays the aryan golden boy and he has floppy sex with a Brunhilde who posses a similar avoirdupoiz. He acts like a five year old and throws tantrums on the ground when Mime keeps making him cardboard swords. There is also a scene where Mime masterbates while thinking of the viking queen, and Wotan is a biker. It's pretty interesting . . . but in the end I want my dragons and trolls.
