A lot of states do and it sounds like common sense to me. I remember that woman ( I think in Louisiana- Couldn't find the news article.) a few years back that killed a woman she was arguing in traffic about. She said, and I believe her, that it was an accident because she had no idea the gun could go off so easily.
Idiot. Frightening that this was possible.

definitely. also, the gun enthusiasts seem to be the same people that don't acknowledge/address (mental) healthcare.
great points here...i completely agree about locking them down, tracking, waiting period and age restrictions. all very common sense things that i think the NRA could meet in the middle about.

It spent too little attention on semiautomatic pistols. Yes, something is better than nothing - but I have always been a proponent of do it right.
It only outlawed the items mentioned within it from the date passed going forward. We need to get whatever we consider “ TOO dangerous without a special EXPENSIVE collectors permit” off the streets permanently.
It was set to expire after a decade. Lets try for two so we can get some hard data about what the before|after data is.
