I know I've recced it before, but I can now say that the wonderful ' Storm Track' was written for me by my friend ariadne1! It's amazing and I couldn't have received a better gift. When I wrote 'no happy ending and no romance needed' into the prompt, I'd hoped that would let the author do service to the story and what it needed. And that's just what she ( Read more... )

Silly, silly Ubi! No forgiveness is needed- in fact, it's I who owe you an apology for not having SQUEEEEEd over the reveal more publicly (this will be rectified shortly). There's plenty of justification for the funny in the prompt, and given that I love laughing just as much being chilled by man's capacity for cruelty, I was thrilled that I got both in your wonderful, wonderful story. You took a prompt for a story I would have liked to read and turned it into a story that I LOVED! One thing that I mentioned briefly in my previous review and wanted to reiterate is that I loved the way you subverted so many fanon cliches, and not just the MLC. And the romance was so perfectly paced and true to the characters. *sighs happily*

It's spectacular, Ubi. I'm so thrilled to have gotten it as a gift and so grateful to you for putting together such a thrilling, awe-inspiring story based on my quixotic likes. *glomps the stuffing out of you*

I'm so glad you didn't mind the genre blender - I almost feel that I wrote something 'Buffy' in feel, but since you like Buffy, I had hopes.

I did try to think of you and what you like, but I also had that easier because I think we have similar tastes.

Big hugs to you - I would never have come up with the idea without your wonderful prompt.
