I really liked the season premiere of Dollhouse, glad to see the show not only rise from almost certain death via cancellation. but succeed in having a story that's more meaningful than those from the beginning of season 1. Episode two wasn't quite as strong to me, but again, much better than many in season 1. [I find myself very torn: (highlight

I know! And they're going to show one this Friday and then preempt the next episode for baseball.
But (and this is an important but), if you're not a Nielsen box person, watching it on Hulu is better anyway because you get counted.

I haven't seen episode 2 yet so I've carefully not highlighted! I enjoyed ep 1 though, and I agree it was stronger in many ways than much of season 1.

I really liked ep 1 a lot. Ep 2 has its strong points as well - Eliza finally pulls off some intense acting. [Again, love her as Faith; not always as convinced by Echo.]

Zombieland, on the other hand, is a horror-comedy (just typing that makes me laughs).

Zombieland definiely sounds like a hoot. I love horror-comedies! Horror on it's own- not so much.

must confess I haven't been thrilled by what I've read about Dollhouse, and even my nephew, whose a big ED fan, has not been interested enough to keep up with the latest news, though I do send him any ED news I come across. Even the prospect of seeing Alan Tudyk has made me head that way. Probably, once it turns up on Lovefilm (netflix for the UK), I'll check it out then, but I can't say for certain whether I will.
As an aside, I'm up on lj now, and have you as a friend, and would like to sign up for ubific too.
Hoping you'll check out the fics that Ihope I'll be adding as the weeks, and months, ahead, pass.
Still under Willow & Tara's spell

Dollhouse is getting better, and I found the 'Epitaph One' episode fascinating (but I'm a real egg head for dystopic sf). So I can't wait to see how it gets there, how they really acknowledge the impact this technology could have on humanity.
I'm not able to be very active in fandom these days, and I miss it. [My job changed this semester, and it's absolutely draining.]
